ARCGIS SURVEY123


The Survey123 app is used to log the presence or absence of spotted lanternflies (1). The data collected is used to create maps of where spotted lanternflies are located in Virginia. The map below shows places in Virginia where positive and negative detections were recorded in 2019.

 


INSTRUCTIONS:

 

Install the Survey123 app.

 

Sign-in:

         - User name: slf.monitor

         - Password: spots2020va

 

For first-time volunteers, the gallery page will be empty (no surveys on the device)

 

Select “Get surveys”

 

Select “SpottedLanternflySurvey”

 

Download to install, select “OK”

 

Select “Back” to return to the My Surveys gallery page

 

Select “Collect” to log trap results:

- Enter your name and date

- Answer brief questions about whether or not spotted lanternflies were found.

- There is an option to add pictures. 

- The exact location is automatically recorded
